gabila Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, where he spent the first seven years of his life. He later moved to Europe, first to Austria and then to Italy, to Rome where he obtained a second level academic diploma in piano at the famous Santa Cecilia Conservatory.
Daughter of the renowned artist Rosina Wachtmeister and Paolo Rissone, a well-known and influential painter in the 50s and 60s, especially in Brazil where he participated and won several times at the Sao Paulo Biennial and particularly well-known in Rome for having created the famous group of “Painters of Piazza Navona”.
Inspired by this artistic family climate, Gabila has cultivated her art since she was a girl, inspired in particular by the colorful nature of her mother's painting, standing out for her poetic streak.
His works show a harmonious style with realistic, colorful and poetic features.
Today his production specializes in ceramic painting, to which he dedicates himself with enthusiasm and commitment together with the artists Rosina, his mother, and Giovanni Battista Rea, his son, with whom he collaborates in the Wachtmeister Werkstatt ceramic laboratory in Capena.
